FIND YOUR WAY BACK TO YOURSELF
Trauma-Informed, Neuroaffirming Therapy for Women
Through EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and relational therapy, I help women explore the experiences and adaptations that have shaped them, reconnect with themselves, and make room for more of what they want in life.
Unearthing Your Inner Jewels
Just as precious gems are forged deep within the earth's crust, you have been forged by life's experiences. Through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, I partner with you to discover the unique jewel you are.
Does this sound familiar?
You've built a life you're proud of. And still, you wonder if there's more of you that could exist within it.
Maybe you're the capable one—the woman people count on. You've spent years adapting, achieving, meeting expectations, and becoming exceptionally good at knowing what needs to happen next.
Some of that competence may simply be who you are. And some of it may have been learned.
Along the way, you may have:
adapted, adjusted, or made yourself smaller to fit what was expected of you.
become highly attuned to subtle changes in other people's moods, needs, or expectations.
learned to keep things moving even when you were tired, overwhelmed, or unsure of what you needed.
become more comfortable being the person others rely on than being the person who needs something.
developed rich depths, strengths, and capabilities that others may never fully understand.
become so good at knowing what everyone else needs that answering, “What do I want?” feels surprisingly difficult.
Maybe nothing is terribly wrong.
You just want more of yourself in the life you've built.
Making Room for More of You
You may have spent years understanding what others need, anticipating what comes next, and finding ways to adapt. But understanding why you do something doesn't always change how it feels in your body or how you respond in relationships.
Through EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and relational therapy, we can explore how your experiences have shaped your nervous system, your relationships, and the ways you move through the world.
The goal isn't to eliminate the parts of you that helped you succeed. It's to expand your capacity to choose how you want to live, connect, and experience yourself.
A gem's beauty is no less real simply because it does not fit some standard.
⟡Do you feel your brilliance is hard to access?
The colors that once felt vibrant may seem clouded. The facets that once caught the light so easily may feel harder to see. Small nicks and scratches have accumulated over the years from carrying expectations, navigating relationships, surviving difficult seasons, and trying to be who others needed you to be.
⟡Do you wonder, “What happened to me?"
Maybe you remember being more curious, playful, adventurous, creative, spontaneous, sensual, or connected to what you wanted. Nothing necessarily went wrong all at once. Life accumulated—responsibilities, relationships, losses, disappointments, expectations, difficult seasons, and years of becoming who you needed to be. Some facets of you became especially important—the capable one, the responsible one, the one who anticipates what might go wrong, the one who knows what everyone else needs. Those facets helped you navigate the life in front of you. But when the same facets have been turned toward the light for years, others may have had less opportunity to shine.
Curiosity
Pleasure
Rest
Desire
Play
Adventure
They aren't gone. They're still facets of you. They simply may not have had enough light lately. You don't necessarily need a different life.
Maybe it's time to let more of your facets catch the light.

Working with Dr. Ivy Horan at Jewel of Life
Together, we'll become curious about the adaptations, survival strategies, and expectations that have shaped you—honoring what helped you get here while making room for more of who you are.
My approach integrates EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, attachment-based, and relational therapies. Rather than focusing only on understanding your experiences intellectually, we'll also pay attention to how those experiences live in your body, influence your relationships, and shape your sense of self.
Therapy is a collaborative process. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system, your experiences, and what feels meaningful to you.
If you're curious about working together, I invite you to reach out and begin a conversation.
